How do you change the source header to support IE 11?

The template and page show this code:

<![endif]-->

Javascript code I added to the site for an online chat won't load in IE, but it works fine in chrome/firefox and edge.

Your chat app might not work under IE11 whst is it? Where did you take it?

The chat software is purechat. Their tech support says that the code I snipped above is what is causing the problem.

Their comment:

In your header portion of the code, you have a meta tag that is listing only IE8-10 as compatible versions of IE to render the site in. You will need to delete this check in the code as we only support IE11.

Funny, this code was put in in order to add support for older versions, newer versions are supported by default.
