Dear OE Community:

I have finished a simple 4 page website using openElement with a base layer.

All the links work fine and the page looks great on my laptop.

However, it has not been setup to be a responsive website and I need expert
help from someone to show me exactly what I need to do to make this website
responsive for Mobile phone, iPad and laptop.

I have tried several tutorials, none of which helped (youtube). There was one
tutorial using CSS and HTML but when I open the openElement htm files, there is
so much code that I really don't know where exactly to put anything.

The site will be eventually hosted by GoDaddy.

Hoping someone can help me with a simple solution.

Thank you
deewebdev

To be able to answer this, we need to see it first.  Is it hosted somewhere?

Hello Hobby01:

The website is not hosted anywhere but I do have a zip file of the project.

From what I understand, Gmail allows you to send zip files via the Google drive
link to another party.

If I am provided with a valid email, I can send the zip file to you or someone who
has winrar installed on their machine and openelement of course.

Thank you in advance
Dwight

After looking at your project, you are missing all the code CSS and javascript.

This code allows pages to adapt to the visitor's screen size.

You may

  • Start it all over again using a responsive template that includes the code.

  • Pay someone to do it for you.
    .
  • Pay someone to change your site into a responsive site ( more expensive ).

Dear Hobby01:

I started out with new projects using the templates like  you
said, and yes they were responsive but editing and taking
other elements from the template itself was far more
challenging than normal.

So I create a new site and created a group of elements the
same size as the page itself then put all the other objects in
this group of elements, a bit smaller, set their measurements
to use percentage in units instead of pixels and then by selecting
the group of elements border, set its property in "position" to
relative, instead of absolute.

This seemed to work and has helped along the way.

Coupled with the information regarding the simple fact that
there was no CSS or Javascript as you said, I think I am onto
something.

So again super thanks for all the help you have given me.

I will be getting back with you very soon.

Sincerely,
deewebdev
