OE 1.57-R9
I copied a complete existing project (the complete directoy), and gave it another name.
The goal was to carry some information to the new/another project.
I also changed the project *.ope name.
These both projects are not related.

After the copy, I deleted all pages, resources and layers, using the SiteExplorer. Except HomePage & BaseLayer.
That worked fine.
But on exporting to Folder, all pages reappear, even it they do not exist. It's confusing.
In the screen shot, the 'impressum', and the (empty) 'HomePage/index.htm' should be the only ones to appear.

I had to delete the files manually out of the newly created project directory.
Recommend to delete them when the SiteExplorer deletes them, or to exclude them from compilation.

Hi,

Thank you for report. Strange situation indeed.
Could you please try to use Project->Preferences->Advanced->Reconstruction of the pages and site linkmap (or whatever it is called in English - the first option in Advanced) and see if error persists?

Very strange, indeed.
I repeated the absolutely same procedure.
And it worked just fine.
Removed the source files, and completed te compilation perfectly.
So far - so good? But it makes me even more supicious.

Addt'l I performed your recommended procedure.
That put the unused/deleted files into the 'garbage', even if the source files were not present anymore.
In the visual editor it's obviously named 'Recycle Bin'.
Sequence: Project ... Preferences ... Maintenance ... Rebuild pages and website link maps (Execute).
That worked fine, too. At the end, a box popped up.
Though whatever I did there, it repeated the same procedure again and again. Couldn't stop; no way.
It was possible to stop that repeated sequence (and the whole project) with the TaskManager only.

I'll keep an eye on it, but I don't create a new project every day.
So, it might be reasonable, to remove this thread.

I'm getting very nervous, sorry.
All the complaints I had in this thread, disappeared.
Others appeared (SEO handling, that really needs some tutorial (not about the content as such)).
The SEO handling is somehow tricky; and I couldn't find any desription about it.

You may close and remove this thread.
