I am new to open element and have not done web sites in many years.  I am wanting to allow people the ability to comment on my web site and have played and played and cannot figure out how to do it.  Can anyone please help me?  I really like OE and don't want to give up on it yet.
God bless you always,
Amy

Hi Amy,

Thanks for downloading openElement and welcome to the forum!

In order to add comments, you will likely need to incorporate a 3rd party tool. If you search something along the lines of Web page comment system script you may find a fairly simple script (Html, javascript, or Php) that will accomplish what you're looking for.

To add the script to your page in oE, just paste the necessary code in a graphic Code Block and configure it as necessary.

Happy to help if you have further questions!

Best

Chris

Hi,

We are working on integrating this possibility, but it will still take some time. For now you can use solutions available on the Web, and insert them using Code Block elements. If you find a solution that suits you, we can assist you in integrating it.

Good day

I did find the code.  I would like to get the code to work on each page without having to manually place it on each page.  I placed it on the base layer that all the pages use, but the code does not stay where I want it to stay and does not work on every page.  I am hoping you can help me get this fixed to where I don't have to manually put it on each page.  I want it on the very bottom of each page.  I am NOT proficient at HTML.  Thank you so much for the time and trouble you are going through.  God bless you.
God bless you always,
Amy

Hi.

Probably the easiest way is to put it to the Footer section of the base layer. Use Code Block (Visual), place Javascript code between <script> and </script>, if you need Php code tell us so that we explain how to proceed (it's simple). If in doubt, post here the code you want to use. The hardest part is using script files, if you need to do it place them to Files/Other subfolder.

Good day

Thank you so much.  I added it to the footer and it works great.
