Hi there. I believe you're referring to the content zones: Upper Content and Footer.

In openElement, every element has several unique style zones. Just like these elements, the page also has a couple of zones that can be given certain styles (formatting, background, color, margins, etc.).

By default, these zones are transparent so they don't show up as boxes on your page (unless you give, say, the Upper Content a solid color background, and the Footer and Page Background a different color background). You can give Upper Content whatever dimensions you want and positions element anywhere on the page.

Does this answer your question?

Some additional clarifications: the Upper Content is the main area to put all elements. You can easily change its height, and width too. The Footer works in a similar way, and it moves according to the height of the Upper Content.

You can set background color and/or image separately for: Page Background, Main Frame (both zones), Content (similar), Upper Content, Footer. Use the 2nd button in the Style Zone menu on the top.

If you select the "root" (the project itself,at the top), or a sub-folder, Add button is activated.

OpenElement is a drag-and-drop program, so to change something you either drag its boundaries, or go to the Properties or Styles->Personnalization (and sometimes choose correct Zone)
