Hello,
I created a project, of which I kept a copy of it in my PC using the "export to folder" function which is right next to the "publish" function. I've made too many changes and now I want to restore the project as it was. However, I can't find how to do it because on the one hand, the "import" button leads me to an online file import, and on the other hand, I can't open the project directly from the directory because there is no *.ope file. Any indication would be helpful |

The export creates a publishable copy of your site.
Look in the your_project_name_Upload folder and copy the whole content in a new folder besides your project. Then go into this new folder, then into the Backup/Backup subfolder Copy the whole content to the new folder you should be able to open it with openElement. If you are satisfied with the content you might delete the un desired one and rename the new folder accordingly By the way, next time you want to create a backup use the Project tab, Other, Backup the Project. It will create a full backup in a zip file. It's a lot easier to recover

Thank you so much for your reply Hobby001 I did not do the backup since I only found today how to backup in one's PC (I had only found the backup on the server feature when publishing....noob level 1000) Linked to the above, I also cannot find a quick way to save a project under another name. -"Save As" Indeed, I am testing different alternatives etc (and in most cases I do not know what I am doing), so it would be nice to be able to open the project under another name, make whatever the tests & modifications and only pass them to the "good" project once I know they work (and/or once I know I am not going to ruin the things that are working properly...) Thanks for any further help on this Regards Edited by WattJet - Jun 21 2020 at 10:57am |
