Vimeo is a very popular source of video.

I tried adding VimeoVideo to a site using the html5 media player but link returns " Video Format Not supported "

It didnt work using youtube player ( I didn't think it would  )

Thanks for the suggestion! We'll certainly consider it.

Meanwhile, as a workaround, you can try pasting the Vimeo embed code into a visual Code Block element. See if that works for you.

Best

I'm not sure what you mean by visual code element but anyway I have found pasting Vimeo and metacafe embed codes into the dailymotion media element works just fine - I assume other video sharing sites  would work too.

This solves my problem but I would suggest that the Dailymotion element is re-labelled to indicate other sites can be accessed and that video is not restricted to Dailymotion. This could be a big help to anyone wishing to use alternatives like vimeo and save them some headache !!

I think that many people might want to do this as there seems to be growing resistance to the youtube advertising.
Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Usually you can use elements "Code Block (Visual)" (before version 1.41 they were called simply Code Block), and paste the "embed code" to them, just as you do now with Dailymotion element.

Good day
