Hi everyone!

After months of development, we are happy to announce the first Beta release of openElement with "dynamic" functionality.  This version of openElement contains an integrated database management engine and other features, and we need your help to test it!

Warning: Do not use this version on important projects. Please ensure that important projects are backed up and safe. There could be security issues with this release, as well as errors to correct.

We need our users to test this version and provide feedback on the interface and operation of the new features. With your support, we will be able to release a version fit for production.

Dynamic Functionality
The data management engine integrated in openElement allows users (without using 3rd party tools) to create complex websites that call on one or more databases such as sessions, forms, cookies and more.

For the time being, users are not able to create dynamic elements. The interface is still too complex and not quite ready for prime time, but it exists and we're working on improving it!

Element Packs
These allow the grouping of certain elements on a page, with or without any dynamic features. The element group can be saved for use on other pages and/or other projects. Drag-and-drop the Element Pack on a page to "unpack" its contents, as if it had been created from scratch. 
Element packs also allows users to add complex features, such as: User management made easy in just a few minutes, where users can be added/modified/given permissions.  The style and placement of elements in the pack can also be modified at will.

UserSpace (User Accounts Management)
This version contains the very first "User Space" Element Packs, all created with only openElement, using no external tools or modules. These 6 Packs allow users to add sign up pages, login pages, admin pages, etc., as well as the ability to user-protect "regular" pages on your website and display the logged-in user.

Enable and Test
1) Close any opened projects in OE. Use the button on the quick-access menu at the top of the screen (second to last, where you can choose the software's skin and language) to enable dynamic functionality.

2) Create a blank New Project (Please do not use an existing project for the time being).

3) On the right, on the menu containing Elements, Properties, and Styles, you will see a new menu called Packs. This contains the Packs currently installed. For now, only one category is available, UserSpace01, with 6 Packs within that make up the new User Management System.

4) Double-click on Wiki Help to open the online troubleshooter. It is highly recommended users follow the instruction when trying for the first time, or at least read the beginning and the end.

5) Create the blank page dedicated to the management of user accounts by the administrator, and drop Pack "10" on it. 
If the other pages are automatically created by the wizard. (see Wiki); use these for Packs 20, 30, and 40 (instead of creating new pages).
6) Open the Admin page using Preview (F12). You can now start testing the user management system locally. 

7) To publish online or for WAMP, please verify the configuration in Databases in the Site Explorer on the left of the screen - if your web host does have SQLite installed, users must select and configure MySQL, using settings provided by the web host.
