I am confused about what excatly I should set my FTP settings to. I am creating a website that is a sub-folder from another domain and uses that as its root.
When I select the folder to upload to it says it is going to some buried folders that I don't even know where they are and then creates the directory I wanted there (there is already the folder I want in the root folder)

Hi,

I suggest you first try to upload manually, with FileZilla etc., and see what the settings are. Then copy them to openElement, then put into "Default folder" the path relative to the "root" that opens with FileZilla when you connect.

Good day
D

I have it working with Filezilla but I can't get it to upload to the correct location in OElement.
I have a folder called P4D in the root directory and I set my OElement FTP default directory to /P4D but then I test it and it says it used the path "/home/content/t/r/i/trifles/html/P4D/"
I don't even know where any of those folders are and I looked to find the files it uploaded and couldn't.

This is a physical path on your server and you don't need to cosider it. Just verify, after upload ends, that the files are where they should be.

found it. the problem is that I am hosting multiple sites and this one is on a secondary folder so I was logging into the ftp through the first site then specifying the folder. You can ftp log into the second site directly and then the problem goes away. I think, but it is working now so no worries, thanks :)
