a) I have access to the control panel and "advanced tools"
It includes:
Ecwid Online store, MySQL Database, Statistics, FTP, FileManager, MojoMarketplace, Adcredits, constant contact, Google Ads,Archive gateway, CGI& Scripted language support, ComodoDNS, DiskUsage, Business Funding, Server Informatoin, Sitelock, WebCache control, htaccess editor, Change Catch-all

The hosting says "in our shared servers, we do not offer cPanel and we have Control Panel with Foundation interface" (at a completely different price)

b) the layout and access of your link is exactly what I am looking for

From what I see, there is not much difference between what I can access than those features offered in a generic cPanel. Let me know if any of the mentioned features can be used to achieve a secure folder like yours

Indeed,
In the end, those features (protected folder, multiple users, multiple passwords) can be put in place by the htaccess editor.
Again thank you so much for guiding me there
