Hi all i am completely new to openelement and website design and have made and published a small business website based on the Senslight template and it is currently being hosted by godaddy. But I am finding an error with my email form. I looked up other posts for the same error but am still unable to figure out how to fix it. If anyone can help or have any suggestions on how to solve it please let me know! i am using the email form for the customer to contact me about any queries they have.
This is the error message i am getting. An error was encountered while sending email! Please try again later or contact the server administrator. {"State":"error04","ErrorDescription":"Attention, the element "SendMail" has not been configured in openElement.\r\nYou must configure it to enable email form submission."} Error :undefined{"State":"error04","ErrorDescription":"Attention, the element "SendMail" has not been configured in openElement.\r\nYou must configure it to enable email form submission."} I have configured the email form to my email address and all, with the outgoing email configuration set to smtp. |

Ok Let's go over it together
Open the mail configuration Add your preferred email address and subject. Then add a dummy email address from your domain name Do not make any changes to the next 4 pannels and click complete on the last one Then open the Project Preferences pannel Ensure that you have the same settings for outgoing email configuration Then in advanced tab Finally Expert settings Click on Apply

Hi Thank you so much it works know! I receive the email and don't get any error but the only thing is that when testing with my personal email i am not getting the return receipt i set up on the email configuration. I double checked the email configuration to check if i selected the correct element containing the visitor's email address and i did. But i never get any return receipt any idea why? I checked the spam folder as well but its not there.
Thank you again for all your help!

gmail, hotmail and other email suppliers have been blamed for their lack of action regarding spam mailing.
Many of them are automatically refusing emails that does not comes from the origin domain. If your domain name is toto.com for example, the sender address must be from the sending domain, noreply@toto.com. If you want to capture the sender's email address, add a field to the form asking for an email and use it manually to answer. Sorry but rules have changed on the internet in response to bad poeple. |
