When I publish my site it saves index.htm on server but my server uses extension html.. I've had to manually change the file name and menu listing for rename of page for index.html is there an easier way I don't know of to save all page as html not htm ?

OE produces htm or php files
Your hosting service must be configured to allow htm files, normally there is a list of accepted file extensions that can be editted for that at thge server level
