Dear openElement Community: I have figured out the way to setup links on my webpage and with an Internet connection, they work using the http/https protocols. However, when I want to work offline, I would like my pages to link to files locally and not externally. I am currently using at present the "file:///c:\path to the file" or htm file I would like to load but openElement does not link to any local files. I am probably doing something wrong but any help with this will greatly expedite me finishing this page. I truly appreciate it from anyone who can help. Thank you Dwight

Just 'export your project to folder', and it works fine. ..Project...Export to Folder...Send... then start the index.htm The folder is C:\Users\yourname\Documents\openElement. Inside that folder every version ist numbered consecutvely with each export.

Digizar: Thanks for your advice! I tried it and it works. OpenElement can be quite confusing at times because it does not conform to the standards but it is excellent software nonetheless. Thank you once again. Dwight

The only thing I personally are sceptic about, is the output. That is really somehow 'strange'. But hey, it works Keep on rolling. Btw: you could transfer the locally created version up to the domain with an FTP (FileZilla) program.
Watch to use the latest version of your output from OE. FileZilla gives the possibility to mask out certain file types (*.jpg, *.png) from transferring. View...Directory Listing Files. ... Edited by digizar - Apr 14 2019 at 3:01pm |
