I have a set of image links that I use as a navigation menu for my projects and the user has to re-download all the pictures every time they go to a different project's page.
Is there an easy way to set the image link elements to reuse the same source file (would make it easier to modify the image later too) Normal image elements on the page use images in the "/Images" folder with nice names rather than the skin folder with a unique ID. This is the behavior I would like to see in the image link elements. |

Hi,
You are talking about one of the principal drawbacks of current OE implementation. We planned since long ago to make backgrounds etc. use Resource Library, like Image elements, but we never found enough time. There are several workarounds possible: - Use baselayer, if your link elements have the same desing on all pages - Use custom classes + CSS script blocks, and make sure images are automatically uploaded (for this you need some other elements to use these images, for example invisible Image elements on one of the pages). Sorry for the inconveniences. I hope we will fix this sooner or later. Good day D Edited by Dmit OE - Jan 22 2014 at 2:12pm |

I forgot about the new custom class implementation, that should work. I can't use layers because the main project image is the same as the mouse-over one to show it is selected.
thanks. |
