Oh! So that helps me how?

My site is at 17d-miniatures.co.uk

At the moment I am only concerned  with re-directing visits from Google etc where many currently indexed pages have been superceded by new versions.

I am using OpenCart for the bulk of my site. I only need "logged in" pages to be https, but google has https links to many other "outer" or public pages too. This seemed to be what caused the redirect 301's to cause the 500 error.

At the moment things seem to be working as I would expect - old search engine URLs are re-directing OK, since I changed the https in the "redirected to" URLs to http.

My SSL certificate is set up: HTTP > HTTPS "NO"

Any help to avoid future problems will be appreciated.
Regards
Robin

I don't understand why you have problem with httpS. Your pages open fine with it, ex. https://17d-miniatures.co.uk/index.htm

I have had some in-put from my hosting people too, and now I have everything sorted. All pages open securely, and re-directed pages are OK too.

Last hurdle with index page was a new "cookie acceptance" script, which was still under http - now changed to https.

Thanks for help, one and all !

And I think oE is great!

Robin
