This is not an error but a simple way to keep the computer clean and avoid "possibles" conflicts between versions of oE.

In path Local disk\ Users\ User\AppData\ Local you find the folder openElement containing last old folder with the old version. 1 click and delete it...

It wouild be a good way adding a routine of self deleting when user decide to uninstall or update the program avoiding those older files ...

Hi,

When you uninstall, you have an option to delete configuration, which you shoudl check to clean old files. I am not sure whether always it cleans everything, but if you don't check it there will certainly be files remaining (to be able to restore the configuration with later installs).

If I have to uninstall it, surely I check the option, but when I simply update it, then it forget to delete the old folder.
I know it for sure 'cause it is not the first time I see this.  It is not an "error"(may be a forgetfulness), but I prefere to have that folder (oE) clean and without other software

Simply create a link to that directory, and place that link onto the Desktop.
That could help, but it's not performed automatically.

Well, thanks, but I already know that and is not useful 'cause oE everytime uses a new version folder. You can see it if you go in your Program Files... so, creating a batch file can help only for that time 'cause if the version is changed, the batch file will not work for it. I have other ways to check that, but the one I prefere is the real checking, made by me (and not programs or batch files).
Usually I know that programs have routines to delete old version folders... and this is done also from oE when you update it asking if you want to delete the old files, but doesn't ask if you want to delete also the old folder...

It's not such big problem, but for those "dummies" it can be... I only think that it could be a good idea to keep datas about the installation path and when the program is updated or uninstalled, proceeding in deleting the old folder.
