Hunt the tool :-)
As simple as that:
1) Mark/select the page
2) Delete/Remove it.

You might as well use the RIGHT mouse button on the selected page name.

Do NOT do that with Resources
To remove a resource, use the file administation of the system (Windows explorer),
and then reload the project. That is a temporary solution.

This would be helpful, if it worked.  When I right-click on the tab of the page there is no option to delete, but to close.  I want to remove the page entirely.

Not on the TAB. On the page in the list (tree) of website pages, on the left as shown on the screenshot. If you don't see it, maybe you've lost this window; go to the topmost menu with the "gear" button and use Restore default layout option
