Is it possible to add hyperlinks to existing elements, for instance a picture or standard text that I already have on the page that doesn't already have a hyperlink.

Is there anywhere in the Properties to add a hyperlink.

I understand that I can added image link or text link from the navigation panel, but can you convert a standard item into a navigation item?

Hope this makes sense.

Hi.

In the latest OE version, there are several ways to do it.

If you have text, you can simply select the whole text or a part (after double-clicking the text to enter the text-edit mode) and apply a link using the top menu.

You can put an element or several elements into a Group of Elements, and for this Group, in Properties, put "a" (without "") into Expert->Alternative wrapper tag so that all elements are wrapped into <a> (link) tag, and in the property Alternative wrapper tag attributes put href="whatever-your-URL-is"

That is a very useful tip
but
the format for the url I found to be as below with // for the link to work
href="//www.energyoilpaintings.com"

if I don't place the // the link refers to
http://localhost:8087/Copy-2/www.energyoilpaintings.com

is what I am doing correct or is there something I am mising

Thank you

If you use no // (//, http://, https://), the URL is considered relative, which may or not be what you want.What you did is correct if you want to refer your website root.
