Hi again,

I changed the images of the template, and I would like to know your recommendation on the sizes of the initial images. I understand that the preload is -among others-  to allow some time to download these images.
What would be the recommended size to get the best of both worlds (speed & resolution)

Thanks!

There is no common rule about size & quality, it depends on the appearence of the whole website.
But for ordinarey images keep them as small as possible.
The thumbnails of my website is 220 x 150 pix each.
That seems to be reasonable fast for decend diplay / transmissions.

As I recommended before, you might want to optimize all images automatically.
Project * Preferences * Maintenance * Optimize all website images.
It is advised to perform that process only once per project, but I could not detect any mistake when repeatedly performed.
Then it is mandatory to upload the complete project.
Also recommended is to make a complete backup/copy before optimizing.

The big issue with images is their weight.

To decrease that I suggest to use https://riot-optimizer.com/?ref=RIOT

My favorite since years is FastStone Photo Resizer,
handles mass conversion. Size, quality, names, ...

For fast and easy single image modification. Color, contrast, size, name, ...
Faststone Image Viewer.

Thanks to both.
After optimizing images -just standard config- I am now at 3.5Mb instead of the original 6Mb in images.... and it shows when opening the page

Great tool indeed.
Based on the results, I further reduced size and weight to keep everything below 6s. The three images of the HomePage & carrousel were slowing everything up to 8s+

Thanks for that!
