Hello,

I've created a webpage (1 OE project with 5 sections) for the library I work at using Open Element.  It's not live yet.
I know how to create a new page within the project however, I need to link these new pages to various sections in my project sections as if they were separate from the project.  Is there a way to do that?  I don't see a way to 'save as" and just save the individual pages somewhere on my PC - if I could do that then I could load that individual page and link to a section in my project.

Do I have to create each separate page I want to link to my project as a new project?

Also, in my project I've created a banner as a layer and I would like to layer it onto the new individual pages I need to create.  Is there a way to duplicate a page from one project into another project or stand alone page?

Thank you!
Gloria

What do you call a stand alone page?

You can have as may pages as you want in a single project.  Each page can be longer than one screen height.

There will be only one index (main) page for this project.

All these pages will be on one single domain name.

If you want to create pages out of this domain you need a separate project and a separate domain name.

You could create a new (sub-)folder for that addtl project.
Behind that folder you could create any amount of pages for the addtl project.
The BaseLayer could be used for all pages, or you could create a modifed (or specifique) layer for these addtl pages.
One thing, though, there is only ONE HomePage (index.htm) for the domain/project possible.
It would need an addtl button/link on the main project, pointing to the addtl project.
Actually you could name another page entry point (index.htm) for the addtl project.
Just you could not name it HomePage inside the addtl project, but name it (the file) index.htm in the addl project.

If you (or your clients) would like to access that addtl project directly, it would be required to use the target entry link of that addtl project part. Which is the same as accessing it by a link from the main project.
It could even be just the name of that addtl folder.
pe: 'mainproject' (index.htm), the name of the original base project for the main entry,
and 'mainproject/addtlproject' for the addtl project folder, where the addtl index.htm would be located.
Some misunderstand might arise from SEO, though.

The draw back might be a long updload time for the complete combined project.
But it could be uploaded partly only. Possible also with automatically filtered FileZilla (View...Directory listing filters).
I propose to very careful keep backups.
Probably it might also be required to enlarge the system memory.
SSD recommended.

Hint: partly some information might be carried over by the iframe:
Element: Interactive...External Page/iframe.

Hi,
Thanks for responding to my question. I understand your response but don't think I made my question clear.

What I'm trying to figure out is how do I link a separate page (that's what I meant by stand alone) in the same OE project to a specific home page section.    Right now my new OE home page (the one with 5 sections) has lots of links but all these links go to pages that were created with other programs like Dream Weaver and Kompozer.  I need to recreate some of these pages but I wanted to use O.E. to eliminate the need for multiple programs.
Since I do not see a way, in O.E., to 'save as', like you can in a M.S. Word document, (allowing me to save an individual page that is not part of a project), I don't know how to make a simple link to a separate page to my home page.

Sorry for the confusion - and I really appreciate both responses!

I don't know if you can see this from your location but I have an older version of what I'm building here: https://www.aoml.noaa.gov/general/lib/testcake/Responsive3-USE/index.htm

Let me try to clarify.

You have pages created with DreamWeaver and others created with Kompozer

You are in the process to create a new site with OpenElement

You want to add links in the OE project to Kompozer and DreamWeaver pages

You want to host pages from the three software under the same domain namme

Is this the situation?

Hello Hobby and Digi Master,

Thanks for trying to help me.  I figured it out.
It was much simpler that it may have sounded.

I finally looked in the project folder and saw that each
new page has an associated htm file so I can link to that
from my home page.

Thank you both again.
