Hi all, Newbie here!

I have just about completed my first web-page using oE and have things how I want them, BUT, when I do a preview I get a line of code below the bottom of my layout:

; $(["WEFiles/Image/Skin/28d61833.png","WEFiles/Image/Skin/7e93ed35.png"]).preloadImg();

Anyone know what is causing this?

Otherwise I am ready to upload.

Thanks

Hi,

If you upload your website somewhere (use Project->Export to folder, then uploadthe result with FileZilla to some temporary sufolder on your hosting server) and give the link, we can check what's wrong. Probably a broken script

It is because of your Code Block Source:

<script type="text/javascript" charset="UTF-8" src="http://chs03.cookie-script.com/s/48c2dc207bbb2c67b09142f2ad241668.js"></script>
You sould change the type of ths block to HTML, as the type JavaScript already wraps your code into <script> and it breaks the HTML structure

You can see that in the local Browser when you view/inspect the incoming code of that page. Browsers have an option to display that arrived code. And to search for a particular text (Ctrl-F).
But you may not edit that code in the browser.
It's a very powerful option, and it may save you many headaches.

Well, anyway I can still see that superficial code @ the end of the displayed page.

 New front page uploaded and working great, but I am now having trouble with using redirect 301 for a load of old pages redirecting to new versions. As soon as I add the redirect 301's I get a 500 error on the whole site. I should say that the redirects are nothing to with oE (I don't think) unless it is to with using oE's rewrite rule to create the alternative site name:

Any help much appreciated

here is my .htaccess

It occurs to me that the problem above might also be to do with the fact that my OpenCart store, running in subdirectory, also has an .htaccess - this is it:

ErrorDocument 404 /404.html

order allow,deny
deny from 202.46.
allow from all

# 2. In your opencart directory rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess.

# For any support issues please visit: http://www.opencart.com

Options +FollowSymlinks

# Prevent Directoy listing
Options -Indexes

# Prevent Direct Access to files
<FilesMatch "\.(tpl|ini|log)">
 Order deny,allow
 Deny from all
</FilesMatch>

# SEO URL Settings
RewriteEngine On
# If your opencart installation does not run on the main web folder make sure you folder it does run in ie. / becomes /shop/

RewriteBase /store/
RewriteRule ^sitemap.xml$ index.php?route=feed/google_sitemap
RewriteRule ^googlebase.xml$ index.php?route=feed/google_base
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !.*\.(ico|gif|jpg|jpeg|png|js|css)
RewriteRule ^([^?]*) index.php?_route_=$1 [L,QSA]

# php_flag register_globals off

# 2. If your cart has magic quotes enabled, This may work to disable it:
php_flag magic_quotes_gpc off

# 3. Set max upload file size. Most hosts will limit this and not allow it to be overridden but you can try
# php_value upload_max_filesize 999M

# 4. set max post size. uncomment this line if you have a lot of product options or are getting errors where forms are not saving all fields

Forget it!

I have sussed the problem - not sure why it causes the problem, but the list of URLs I am redirecting to, some of them had an https pre-fix

I removed all the "s" changing them all to http and it all works as expected.

Hope this helps someone else at some point.
