I can't seem to change the position type for any of the elements that I add to the page. I've only been using openElement for a couple of days, but it seems that every object is locked with absolute positioning. I'm trying to edit a template, but even when I make a new project I have the same problem.
I can edit other properties just fine, but in both the "Properties" panel, and in the "Code" viewer, I can't change the position type. What am I doing wrong here? Screenshots: https://i.imgur.com/qbWuFUt.png https://i.imgur.com/ZbsYdpN.png Thanks Edited by sharklasers - Oct 01 2017 at 7:17pm |

Hi,
The position can't be controlled by an element, it is defined by its "parent" container. In the latest version, press "Esc" to select the parent, which is either a Group of Elements or the page itself. If it's Group of Elements, change Positioning type in its Properties. If it's a page, you can modify positioning in Page->Responsive->Page Sections (usually it should be done for the page's base layer). If you need a mix of absolute and relative positioning, add a Group of Elements and position certain elements inside it. |
